If you read ZQuiet reviews, you’ll notice that the majority speak highly of this snoring mouthpiece.
Not only that, people even tweet about it:
But does ZQuiet really work to treat snoring and mild obstructive sleep apnea?
Is ZQuiet available for sale in stores – Amazon, Walgreens, Walmart, or alternative?
ZQuiet gave me this product to try in exchange for an honest review.
Let’s comprehensively review through.
ZQuiet Mouthpiece Product & Company Overview
ZQuiet is made in the United States by Sleeping Well LLC, a company that is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with A rating. This snoring mouthpiece was designed by the company owners (Dan and Trina Webster who both had snoring problem), alongside sleep specialist Dr Avery Lieberman DDS.
ZQuiet snoring mouthpiece is designated a class II medical device by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) – a proof that the product can effectively achieve its intended purpose to treat snoring, while the ZQuiet’ BPA-free medical-grade material have also passed strict consumer safety testing.
ZQuiet Review: How Does ZQuiet Work To Treat Snoring?
With snoring is the result of soft tissue vibration in the back of throat, ZQuiet is designed to widen the airway by gently advancing your lower jaw by a few millimeters to prevent the base of the tongue blocking the airway, which is the most common cause of snoring.
Watch this brief video on how ZQuiet works.
While ZQuiet is designed around the same concept of any other anti-snoring device, it has a feature that sets it apart from the other snoring mouthpiece:
The patent-pending Living Hinge Technology
This unique hinge at the back connecting the top and bottom pieces, alongside the soft material for optimal comfort, provides comfortable jaw mobility and allows natural mouth movement while wearing ZQuiet – no matter what sleep position its user is in.
Unlike some snoring mouthpieces that force the jaw into a clenched position, the softness and flexibility of ZQuiet let users breathe naturally through your mouth and nose through the ZQuiet airflow post.
Indeed, user can even talk or take a drink without having to remove the mouthpiece.
2 Mouthpieces For Optimized Jaw Position & Advancement
ZQuiet has crafted 2-Step Comfort System that provides 2 unique mouthpieces of slightly different sizes, designed to fit men and women with varying mouth sizes, while provide a different level of jaw advancement.
With these 2 mouthpieces of optimal sizes for jaw positions, ZQuiet ensures the users receive a comfortable snoring solution with effective results – whereby most users need just a small jaw advancement, while some snorer need a little more.
Look carefully on the hinge of product, and you will see Size 1 and size 2:
- Start with the Comfort Size 1 mouthpiece first, and it will move your jaw slightly forward.
- If your snoring doesn’t get reduced with Size 1, switch to Comfort Size 2 which will position your jaw further forward, to ensure airways are widened even in the most severe snoring cases.
A side benefit is: If you and your partner both snore, you may even use one each!
ZQuiet Instructions: How To Fit, Clean, and Store.
Unlike most snoring mouthpiece that uses “boil and bite” technique to achieve a custom fit, ZQuiet has universal sizing design that does not require any setup, boiling, and molding process to make it fit for consumers.
ZQuiet is ready to use right out of the box as provided, with its soft material allow the device to conform to any mouth and the patented living hinge holds it securely in place.
Many prefer the ZQuiet snore device for its ease of use:
Just take it out of the package case, put it in your mouth, and go to sleep.
If the unit is too large for your mouth, you can easily trim the soft ZQuiet thermoplastic elastomer material with small scissors to improve fit and comfort. After trimming, use a emery board or fingernail file to smooth any rough edges that may cause irritation to the gums.
ZQuiet Precautions and Side Effects: Things To Take Note
- While using ZQuiet with partial dentures is fine, snorer with full dentures would not be able to use ZQuiet as it would not stay in place.
- As advancing the jaw forward to treat snoring may requires some initial conditioning of jaw muscles, it is normal that some users may feel some discomfort and soreness that will disappear shortly after removing the ZQuiet mouthpiece. An adjustment period of a few hours to a few weeks may be required to reach maximum comfort.
- Drooling is common for users new to snoring mouthpiece, whereby the body’s natural response to having a device in your mouth is to salivate. Drooling experience will usually disappear with continued use of days or weeks.

ZQuiet Customer Reviews: Does It Work – Any Complaints?
The ZQuiet user reviews are generally promising, with the negatives are (as expected) mainly on the aforementioned jaw soreness experienced during the initial usage and adjustment period:
User Review #1 by Robert from PA:
After years of frustration in the same bed, my wife started sleeping most nights in the guest room. I have two problems that keep her awake, snoring and grinding my teeth. Due to the design of the ZQuiet, it has actually solved both problems. As they indicated in their instructions, it may take a week or two to get used to, but I have had no pain and am sleeping better than I have in years. So is she.
User Review #2 by Mordecai Levithan from NY:
I bought Zquiet for my father on Hanukkah as a sort of joke. At first everyone in the family, from my grandmother to cousins, was cracking up. My mother said there was nothing on this great earth that could stop my father from roaring in the night with his snoring. Well, to her shock and awe he went from snoring like a bear to just grunting a little. They’re both arguing less because my mother can now sleep!
User Review #3 by Wendy H. from MA:
I am overweight, have fibromyalgia, and have a small mouth. I have used it 2 nights successfully and have NOT snored! I have to say the adjustment period is a bit painful, but that is to be expected with anything that is not made to your specific mouth. With a few cutouts here and there, the ZQuiet is a great fit. There is some sensitivity to eating and pressure but again, there is the adjustment period you have to go through. Very similar to as if you were to have gotten braces, but a lot less painful! Again, went into this as a skeptic, came out a believer!
User Review #4 by tone4days:
Did not have excessive salivation and i was able to swallow more easily during the few minutes before drifting off … slept all the way through the night in a much more typical way – deeper / less disturbed by dreams … my wife said she did not hear me and she too slept all the way through the night … no jaw stiffness this morning at all. Work well for me.. my wife gets good sleep now..

Overall, we recommend ZQuiet mouthpiece as an effective snoring device –
with the key ZQuiet advantages and benefits over the other snoring solutions are its Living Hinge Technology that allows natural mouth movement, and its low cost 30 days trial offer for users to try out and confirm it is the right solution for them.

— then our recommendation to you is check out the Good Morning Snore Solution as alternative, then make an educated decision from there to solve your snoring problem.

GMSS has “one size fit all” design design that does not require any setup, boiling, and molding process to make it fit.
